The 11th Annual International Education Conference will explore how educators can utilize films to bring international content into their classrooms. Whether it be narrative features, documentaries, or student-created projects, film can be a powerful tool in demonstrating how a single story can elucidate the larger human condition. Come and learn how film can provide a global lens for your students to examine their world.
Sessions will be led by Milos Stehlik, Founder & Artistic Director, Facets; Christina Thornell, Foreign Video, Vox.com; Amanda Friedeman, Harvey L. Miller Family Youth Educator, Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center; and Fareed Mostoufi, Senior Education Manager, Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting.
Light breakfast, lunch, and instructional materials are included. 5 PD hours.
